A funeral will be held Friday, November 8, 2024 for 92-year-old Alice Florence Deckard of Perryville, Missouri who passed away Sunday, November 3, 2024 at her residence.
She was born December 10, 1931 in Bayonne, NJ to John and Katarzyna (Kucinska) Maxim, who both preceded her in death.
Alice and Claude L. Deckard were married September 18, 1954 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Bayonne, NJ. He preceded her death on September 1, 2007.
Survivors include a son: Michael (Deanna Wineland) Deckard of Panama City, Florida; two daughters: Jean (Billy) Allen of Patton, Missouri; Cathy (Lance) Hutchison of Woodlawn, Illinois; five grandchildren: Alicea (Nick) LeGrand, Dylan (Taylor) Mahnken, Eric Mahnken, Russell Allen, Cody Hutchison; and three great-grandchildren: Ivey Mahnken, Otto LeGrand, and Elise LeGrand.
She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Walter, John, and Joseph Maxim; a sister-in-law, Sophie Maxim; and two grandchildren, Brett and Lindsey Mifflin.
She worked as a seamstress in her early days.
Alice enjoyed playing cards, quilting, putting together puzzles and spending time at the Perry County Senior Center.
She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Sereno.
Visitation will be 7:30 am to 9:20 am Friday, November 8, 2024 at Ford and Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
A funeral mass for 92-year-old Alice Florence Deckard of Perryville will be at 10 a.m. Friday, November 8, 2024 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Sereno with the Rev. Fred Wandera C.M. officiating.
Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
Memorial contributions may be given to Perry County Senior Center.
