Mineral Area College seeking vehicle donations for automotive technology program

PARK HILLS – Mineral Area College (MAC) is calling on community members to donate used vehicles to support its Automotive Technology program. These donations will serve as valuable educational tools, offering hands-on learning experiences for students enrolled in the program.

Donated vehicles will be used in various ways, helping MAC students develop essential automotive skills in diagnostics, maintenance, and repair. Some vehicles will be maintained by the program for future training, while others may be repaired and sold with proceeds from sales benefitting scholarships and college programs.

“Your vehicle donation could make a big impact at MAC and in our community,” said Kevin Thurman, Executive Director of Development at MAC. “It not only gives our students hands-on experience with real-world automotive issues but also has the potential to support scholarships and other needs at the college. Your old car could help launch careers and change futures—how amazing is that?”

In addition, thanks to the generosity of Buckley Towing, MAC can make arrangements to tow donated vehicles to the college at no charge to the donor. This service makes it even easier for individuals and businesses to contribute, no matter the condition of the vehicle.

Donations to the MAC Foundation are tax-deductible. If you are interested in donating a vehicle or would like more information about how your donation can make a difference, please contact the MAC Foundation, (573) 518-2261, or kthurman@MineralArea.edu.

Mineral Area College thanks the community in advance for their generosity and continued support in helping provide top-tier education to students in the region. For more information about Mineral Area College and the MAC Foundation, visit www.MineralArea.edu.
