SPRINGFIELD – A new partnership between Missouri State University and GSMH broadens horizons for college-bound Girl Scouts.
In our program, Girl Scouts already strengthen their futures. With us, they evolve into strong, capable leaders. We want to continue to empower them, even after they graduate our program.
With our new partnership with Missouri State University, this is now possible. We’re thrilled to introduce the Missouri State University/Girl Scouts of the Missouri Heartland Freshman Scholarship.
The renewable award is designed to support Pell-eligible Girl Scouts from GSMH in pursuing their college education.
Criteria for eligibility includes:
- Active membership in GSMH during junior and senior years of high school.
- Good standing with GSMH as of the date of nomination.
- Qualify for admission to MSU and enroll as full-time students the year they graduate from high school; or transfer directly from another institution.
- Have not received another MSU scholarship of equal or greater value.
- Annual renewal requires completion of at least twenty-seven MSU credit hours per year with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
This partnership reflects our commitment to supporting our girls in achieving their educational goals and preparing them for successful futures. We are excited about the positive impact this partnership will have on our members and look forward to supporting our Girl Scouts in their educational journey!
