CHESTER – Chester remains UNDEFEATED with a 20-0 shut out at Wesclin Friday night September 27.
Jackets scored at 9:35 in the first quarter on a QB-Keeper by Zain Al-Jassim.
Hike was high for Karim Landeros’ kick so ball holder Tray Peters took the ball and ran for two-point conversion. Chester led, 8-0
Kolton Jany scored at the 10:08 mark of the second quarter to kick off the second frame on a 65-yard TD run. Tray Peters two-point conversion attempt was stopped. CHS extended lead, 14-0
The YellowJackets led at the half 14-0
In the third quarter Chester turned over on downs and had to punt
Wesclin had to punt twice
No scoring in the quarter: Jackets led, 14-0.
In the fourth quarter Chester’s Zain Al-Jassim scored Chester’s third touchdown at the 8:17 mark on a quarterback keeper. The two-point attempt failed. The score: CHS 20, Wesclin 0.
In the final 8:17 Wesclin fumbled and Chester recovered
Wesclin had to PUNT TWICE!
Jackets killed the clock with 1:24 to play to end the game.
Jackets improve to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in the Cahokia Conference, Illinois Division
