SGHS invites local businesses to participate in annual College & Career Information Event

STE. GENEVIEVE – Local businesses are invited to participate in the 2024-2025 College & Career Information Event at the SGHS Peggy J. Johnson Gymnasium on Thursday, Oct. 24, 2024.

Each high school student who attends will be able to explore a broad range of possible pathways through meeting career and post-secondary representatives.

Registration & Set-Up for Colleges & Businesses:

10 – 10:30 a.m.

Student Sessions:

11 – 11:45 a.m. (9th and 10th grade students)

11:50 a.m. – 1 p.m. (11th and 12th grade students)

“Although many of our graduates pursue higher education or enlist in the military, a significant number also enter the workforce right away, developing their skills and building careers as they progress,” high school counselor Russ Toombs said. “We continually seek ways to present all the options available to our students.”

College and local business representatives who plan to attend must bring a driver’s license or photo ID to sign into the high school’s visitor management system. In order to protect the gymnasium floor, we ask that participants refrain from wearing heels.

Our school district has strong ties with local businesses in the community, whether it be through volunteerism, donations and philanthropy, student internships and work programs, or collaboration through community projects.

The district would like to invite any business interested in participating to contact Stephanie Brumfield in the high school’s counseling office by Oct. 14 at 573-883-4500 ext. 2104 or at sbrumfield@sgdragons.org.
