SGMS band students travel to Stifel Theatre for orchestra’s E.T. performance

STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve Middle School Band and Fundamentals of Music students traveled to Stifel Theatre Sunday to attend the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra’s performance E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. The orchestra performed composer John Williams’ original score live with the movie.

While this is the fourth field trip SGMS has taken to the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, this experience was special because it was the first time the students saw the orchestra conducted by Stéphane Denève, The Joseph and Emily Rauh Pulitzer Music Director of the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. The students and staff are grateful for such an educational and fun opportunity!

Band and Fundamentals of Music are instrumental music electives offered to any sixth, seventh, or eightth grade student at SGMS.

Don’t miss out on the fun!
