JEFFERSON CITY – The Missouri Department of Economic Development’s Office of Broadband Development (OBD) invites all to join them on October 22, 2024, for the 3rd Annual Connecting All Missourians Broadband Stakeholder Summit.
We hope you’ll attend to hear from key stakeholders, including Governor Mike Parson, and OBD team members as we prepare to launch the largest broadband expansion program in Missouri’s history.
Connecting All Missourians programs, funded through the Federal Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program and the Digital Equity Act (DEA), represent an unprecedented opportunity to bring reliable high-speed internet to Missouri’s unserved and underserved households. These programs will fund lasting investments for broadband infrastructure and measures to promote broadband adoption such as digital inclusion.
The main purpose of the summit is to hear from our stakeholders: rural and urban citizens, businesses, community anchor institutions, local governments, and service providers. Stakeholder input is crucial to OBD’s work as we develop future programs. There will be ample opportunities for attendees to offer their input on how OBD can optimize the rollout of Connecting All Missourians programming.
