STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve Post 2210 and its Auxiliary are sponsoring two patriotic contests for young people this fall: the Voice of Democracy and Patriot’s Pen.
The Voice of Democracy is an essay contest is open to students in grades 9-12 and who are residents of Missouri. The theme this year is “Is America Today Our Forefathers’ Vision?’” The entry form and brochure is available upon request. The deadline for the entries for the contest is Wednesday, October 30, 2024. The judging will be done on that date, at VFW Post 2210, beginning at 6 p.m.
The second contest is the Patriot’s Pen, it too is an essay contest. The theme this year is “My Voice in America’s Democracy?” It is open to students in grades 6-8 and who must be a resident of Missouri. The entry form and brochure is available upon request. The deadline for the contest is Thursday, October 31, 2024.
