CAPE GIRARDEAU – The Zonta Club of Cape Girardeau is proud to announce a generous donation of $1,000 to the SEMO Suicide Prevention Illuminating Hope Glow Walk, scheduled for Saturday, September 28, 2024. The event will take place from 6-8:30 p.m. at Jackson City Park Shelter 4.
Amber Berry, President and Co-Founder of SEMO Suicide Prevention, expressed her gratitude for the support: “We are deeply thankful for the Zonta Club of Cape Girardeau’s generous donation. Their support is instrumental in helping us raise awareness and provide hope to those affected by suicide. We are honored to have their backing for this important cause.”
Melissa Miller, Zonta service board member, added, “It’s crucial that we come together to shine a light on mental health and suicide prevention. We encourage everyone to join us at the Glow Walk and make a difference in our community.”
The Illuminating Hope Glow Walk aims to raise awareness about suicide prevention and offer support to individuals and families affected by mental health challenges. The event will feature a luminous walk through the park, fostering a sense of unity and hope.
