A funeral will be held Wednesday, September 4, 2024 for 70-year-old Robert Dennis McDonald of Perryville, Missouri who passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at his residence.
He was born April 29, 1954 in Festus, Mo. to Woodrow and Lucille (Hayes) McDonald, who both preceded him in death. .
Robert and Kimberly Porter were married June 22, 1974 at Methodist Church in Perryville, Mo. They were blessed with 50 years of marriage. She survives in Perryville.
He is also survived by a son: Robert “Robbie” McDonald, Jr.; a brother: Woody McDonald; and four sisters: Alberta Johnson, Joyce Walton, Saddie Linderer, and Jerry Chapman.
He was also preceded in death by his father and mother in law: Charles and Anna Mae Porter; two brothers: Raymond McDonald and Phillip McDonald; and two sisters: Betty Kent and Sandy DeClue.
He was of the Methodist faith.
Robert enjoyed hunting, growing and planting flowers.
He loved spending time with his family.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2024 and 8-9:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at the Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
A funeral for 70-year-old Robert Dennis McDonald of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at Cedar Fork Methodist Church in Perry County with Reggie Darnell officiating.
Burial will be at Cedar Fork Cemetery in Perry County.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
