History ‘comes alive’ at Deja vu Spirit Reunion

STE. GENEVIEVE – History will ‘come to life’ Saturday, October 26 (Rain date: Nov. 2) at the Déjà vu Spirit Reunion.

Visitors are invited to tour Memorial Cemetery and chat “face to face” with friendly spirits clad in traditional dress to hear their stories of early life in Ste. Genevieve.

Guests may hear the story of a US Senator and his wife who have been buried three different times, find out about the struggles of Dr. Ichabod Sargeant, or be impressed by Marie Janette Janis, her sisters and their husbands.

A variety of spirits portraying the well-to-do, and the not so well-to-do, residents of Ste. Genevieve’s history before 1880 will share their stories in the graveyard.

Memorial Cemetery is located at 35 N. 5th Street in Ste. Genevieve.

The event will run 5-7:30 p.m. Saturday October 6. (Rain date is Nov. 2.)
