PERRYVILLE – The Perry County Sheriff’s Office has announced the death of former Sheriff Gary Schaaf,
“It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the loss of retired Sheriff Gary J. Schaaf. Sheriff Schaaf was a long-time public servant, serving as Perry County Sheriff for 30 years. Sheriff Schaaf ran his office with a constant steady voice, instilled confidence in his staff and citizens, and dedicated his professional life to this community. Please keep Sheriff Schaaf’s family in your prayers and find comfort he is now with our Protector, Jesus Christ.”
