Ruth Ann Flieg 81 years old of Sainte Genevieve, Mo. passed away Sunday, August 18, 2024
at Ste. Genevieve Care Center in Ste. Genevieve, Mo.
She was born October 6, 1942 in Sainte Genevieve, Mo. a daughter of Lennon Effrein and Anna Ruth Effrein, who both preceded her in death.
She married Charles Flieg, he preceded her in death.
She is survived by son: Tim (Connie) Flieg of Sainte Genevieve, Mo.; a daughter: Kim (Bryan) Boyd of Festus, Mo.; grandchildren: Blake (Katie) Boyd, Deidra Flieg, Kaili Boyd, Krista (Justin) Shuh, Kelsey Boyd, and April (Peyton Powell) Flieg; great-grandchildren: Tyler, Jack, Charlie, and Rylee; a sister-in-law: Connie Effrein of Lake Village, Ark.; and her best friend: Susie Tatham.
She was also preceded in death by a brother: James Effrein.
Ruthie loved to spend time with her family. She especially loved to watch her great-grandkids grow.
Ruthie worked at Sirros for many years, you may have even tried her ribley soup.
She loved to craft and spent a lot of time painting. She always looked forward to her daily visits with best friend and side-kick Susie.
Ruthie loved watching the town from her front porch and especially loved Jour de Fete.
She will be missed greatly by all who knew her.
Visitation will be 8-9:45 a.m. Friday, August 23, 2024 at the Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.
A funeral for Ruth Ann Flieg 81 years old of Sainte Genevieve, Mo. will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, August 23, 2024 at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. The Rev. Edward Nemeth will officiate.
Burial will be at Valle Spring Cemetery in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.
