District 32 welcomes new teachers

PERRYVILLE – Perry County School District 32 has welcomed its new teachers for the 2024-25 school year.

They are Haley Grass, kindergarten at Perryville Primary Center; Kaylie Thieret, English at Perry County Middle School; Karley Kaempfe, third grade at Perryville Elementary School; Kalli Seabaugh, second grade at PPC; Rebekah Lefler, counselor at PCMS and Perryville High School. The PHS Pep Band played as the new teachers walked the Green Carpet on their first day at Pirates, cheered on by their new colleagues. The New Teacher Workshop (Aug. 6-8) is an intense 3-day orientation that includes meeting and collaborating with their campus mentors and Buddy Teachers, introduction to board members district administrators, onboarding processes with Central Office staff, tours of campus facilities, and instruction in district technology tools and best practices.

 

The new teachers also complete training sessions in proactive classroom management, curriculum and teacher evaluations, communications protocols, district policies, professionalism, safety and security, student confidentiality, and special services.
