PERRYVILLE — Perryville’s one percent city sales tax is showing an increase in returns both for the month and for the year to date.
The receipts were transferred to the city August 6th.
The month of July saw nearly $192,300 come in, which is about $15,000 better than this time last year.
So far this calendar year the sales tax has brought in more than $1.2 million, which is an increase of nearly $90,000 over the same period last year.
The the city’s two other sales taxes: mass transportation and capital improvements showed similar increases.
Perryvilles consolidated city use tax brought in more than $75,000, an increase of more than $5,800 over the same month last year.
So far this year, the use tax has brought in $406,000, which is up $42,000 from the same period last year.
