A funeral will be held Saturday, August 10, 2024 for 92-year-old Della “Patsy” Patricia Grither of Sainte Genevieve, Mo. who passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at Riverview at the Park in Ste. Genevieve.
She was born in Lithium, Mo., the daughter of William Smith and Mary Elizabeth Smith who both preceded him in death.
She married Cletus Grither May 28, 1949. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by a daughter: Gail (Norbert) Myers of Perryville, Mo.; a son: Bruce (Linda) Grither of the state of Indiana; two granddaughters: Miranda (Wes) Britnell and Lisa (Ben) Besand; two grandsons: Shaun Grither and Brian Grither; a granddaughter-in-law: Niki Myers; great-grandchildren: Mackenzie Cossell, Jake Cossell, Luke Myers, Keira Myers, and Owen Myers.
She was also preceded in death by a grandson; Scott Myers; three sisters; Mildred (John) O’Guinn, Edith (Sylvester) Loggins, and Ginny Reed; two brothers: Thomas (Bonnie) Smith and Harry (Kate) Smith.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in St. Mary, Ladies Sodality, Quilting Club, and VFW Ladies Auxilary.
Della was an avid quilter and made beautiful quilts for many people. She loved music and playing her organ. “Grandma Pat” will be missed.
Visitation will be 8-10 a.m. Saturday, August 10, 2024 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Saint Mary, Mo.
A funeral for 92-year-old Della “Patsy” Patricia Grither of Sainte Genevieve will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, August 10 at Immaculate Conception Church. The Clergy will be Rev. Leo Hayes.
Burial will be at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in St. Mary, MO
