One person hurt in four-vehicle crash on Highway 32

JEFFERSON CITY — One person suffered minor injuries in a four-vehicle crash on Highway 32 in Ste. Genevieve County Monday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 50-year-old Marty J. Petty was taken to Ste. Gnevieve County Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The patrol says Petty was the driver of a 2016 Ford Edge which was stopped in traffic for a construction zone and was struck in the rear by a 2011 Chevrolet Colorado driven by 50-year-old Candace Spraul of St. Mary.

The impact caused the Edge to move forward striking the rear of a 2014 Mazda 6 driven by a 16-year old male from Ste. Genevieve, which in turn struck a 2021 Hyundai Tucson driven by 56-year-old Laurie Melton of Ste. Genevieve.

The Edge had extensive damage and was towed from the scene by Ste. Genevieve County Towing.

The Colorado had moderate damage and was towed by Ives Towing.

The Mazda and the Hyundai had minor damage and were driven from the scene.

The crash happened about 4:10 p.m. on the eastbound lane east of Route A.

All drivers were buckled up.
