Ste. Genevieve Art Walk set for this Friday

STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve’s July 4th Friday Art Walk is set for July 26 and art spaces will be offering special exhibits and activities from 6-9 p.m.

 

 

The monthly event features work by artists from the region in a variety of settings including an outdoor art show at the corner of 2nd and Washington. Artists planning to participate include Cindy Spradling, Ashton Karibean, Angie Dalton, Brenda Thompson, Anitia Alsup, Jennifer Klemp, and Terri Cavins.

The Sainte Genevieve Art Guild’s Art Center has mounted a new member exhibit of 100 works that include paintings, relief prints, sculpture, ceramics and mixed media by dozens of area artists. The Center is located at Merchant and Third.

 

Silver Sycamore Gallery at Market and Third will feature an amazing collection of artisan baskets, jewelry, and other unique items created by women of Kenya. All profits go to support the not-for-profit h.o.w? ministry, which helps women and orphans.

 

In North Maine Street’s Little Bohemia neighborhood Music Art Love will feature artists Iris Vincent and Brenda Thompson and live music by Ron Allen.

 

E•KLeK•TiX Studio & Gallery on North Main will show work by Kathy Hicks and Steve Hicks, who will be painting in front of the gallery, plus new art by gallery-owner J Rissover.

Rust, and Only Child Originals will also be open in the Little Bohemia neighborhood.

 

Most Art Walk activities are free and open to everyone.
