A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 27, 2024 for 81-year-old Lester Franklin Stretch, Jr. of Sainte Genevieve, Mo., who passed away Monday, July 22, 2024 Riverview At The Park in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.
He was born February 17, 1943 in Ironton, Mo. a son of Lester Stretch, Sr. and Mildred Stretch, who both preceded him in death.
He is survived by a son: Richard “Rick” (Carmen) Stretch of Sainte Genevieve, Mo.; daughter: Mary Beth (Matthew) Wolk of Sainte Genevieve, Mo.; a brother: Charles (Brenda) Stretch of Sainte Genevieve, MO; grandchildren: Breanna Wolk and Ashlyn Wolk; nephews: Daniel Stretch, Edwin Stretch, and Lester Stretch III; and a friend of the family, Jessica Ashe.
He was also preceded in death by his wife: Delores “Peachie” Stretch; and two brothers: Glenwood Stretch and Rick Stretch.
Lester proudly served our country in The United States Navy.
He loved to fish, hunt, watch birds, and feed the neighborhood animals.
Lester enjoyed NASCAR, animal documentaries, griping, and especially giving his grandchildren a hard time.
Visitation will be 10-11:45 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2024 at the Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.
A graveside service for 81-year-old Lester Franklin Stretch, Jr. of Sainte Genevieve, Mo., will be held at Crestlawn Cemetery at noon Saturday, July 27, 2024 with full military honors conducted by VFW Post 2210.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The American Lung Association.
