A funeral will be held Monday, July 29, 2024 for 83-year-old Glennon Frederick Otte of Saint Mary, Mo. who passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at his home in Saint Mary, Mo.
He was born March 6, 1941 in Ste Genevieve, Mo., a son of Edgar Otte and Marie Otte who both prececded him in death.
He married Gloria (Favier) Otte August 6, 1960. She survives in St. Mary.
He is also survived by a daughter: Christine (John) Operle of Paducah, Kent.; a son: John (Michelle) Otte of Saint Mary, Mo.; four sisters: Betty Politte of Westin, Fla., Helen (Larry) Stone of Lenexa, Kans., Linda (Joe) Bauer of West Field, Ind., and Brenda (Mike) Operle of Sainte Genevieve, Mo.; a brother: Tom (Mary) Otte of Ozora, Mo.; grandchildren: Derek Operle, Joel Otte, Jordan Laughlin-Cuffie, and Katelyn Operle; a great-grandson: Crew Cuffie; and a god-daughter: Carrie Otte.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter: Kathleen Laughlin; and a sister: Jeanette A. (Jim) Jones.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Monday, July 29, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church followed by mass at 11 a.m. There will be a luncheon at the church hall immediately following mass.
The clergy will be Rev. Edward Nemeth.
Memorials may be made to Crown Hospice.
Glennon was an active Tiler of Elks Lodge in Ste. Genevieve and donated his time collecting deer hides.
He was also a member of the Eagles, Amvets, and Little Saline Sportsman Club. He enjoyed socializing at all of these establishments and then some.
