Marilyn P. Naeger

A funeral will be held Monday, July 22, 2024 for 83-year-old Marilyn P. Naeger 83 of River Aux Vases, Mo. who passed away Friday, July 12, 2024 at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, Mo.

 

She was born August 7, 1940 in O’Fallon, Mo. a daughter of  Florence J. (Vollmer) Loeffler and Bernard Loeffler who both preceded her in death.

 

She married Marion E. Naeger September 8, 1962. He preceded her in death.

 

She is survived by her children: Mark J. (Stephanie) Naeger of Sainte Genevieve, Mo., Kathryn (Craig Winkler) Naeger, Michael J. (Jill) Naeger of Sainte Genevieve, Mo., Kenneth G. (Jessica) Naeger of Sainte Genevieve, Mo. and Christine A. (Dr. Bryan) Piotrowski of Saint Louis, Mo.; a sister: Maxine (Lawrence “Larry”) DeRousse; her grandchildren: Matthew (Whitney) Naeger, Courtney (Darin) Binger, Alexis (Fred Sautel) Naeger, Benjamin Naeger, Corey Simmons II, Joseph Simmons, Sophia Piotrowski, and Christopher Piotrowski; great-grandchildren: Clay and Nellie Naeger, Mira Binger; and many nieces and nephews.

 

She was also preceded in death by her husband: Marion E. Naeger; and a sister: Shirley Loeffler.

 

Marilyn and Marion met at McDonnell-Douglas in St. Louis, Mo. and moved to the home they built in River Aux Vases in 1965. Besides being a loving mother and grandmother, she was a CNA, a PSR teacher at Sts. Philip and James and worked at the Ste. Genevieve sheltered work shop. She loved the Bible and was a devout catholic. She enjoyed feeding and watching the birds. She loved her cats and never turned away a stray. She also sponsored a child in Africa for many years. Her heart was kind and generous.

 

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday, July 21, 2024 and 8-9:30 a.m. Monday, July 22, 2024 at the Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.

 

A funeral for 83-year-old Marilyn P. Naeger of River Aux Vases, Mo. will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 22, 2024 at Sts. Philip and James Cemetery.

 

Burial will follow at Sts. Philip and James Cemetery on Monday, July 22, 2024 in River Aux Vases.
