Perryville man escapes injury in Osage County traffic crash

JEFFERSON CITY – A 21-year-old Perryville man’s truck was a total loss, but he escaped injury in a traffic crash on Highway 50 in Osage County Monday afternoon.

 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Samuel J. Bachmann was the driver of a southbound 2010 Chevrolet Silverado which collided with a 2022 Ford F150 driven by 70-year-old Freddie J. Shiver of Chamois when Bachmann pulled into the path of Shiver’s truck.

 

Shiver had minor injuries and was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City by a private conveyance. A passenger in Bachmann’s truck, 32-year-old Adam M. Strope of Linn also had minor injuries and was taken to Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City by Osage EMS.

 

The patrol says everyone was buckled up.

 

The crash happened about 12:40 p.m. at the Outer Road of U.S. 63.

 

Both vehicles were total losses. The F150 was towed by Toebbens and the Silverado was towed by 4J’s/
