A funeral was held Tuesday, June 25, 2024 for 100-year-old Dorothea E. Militzer of Altenburg, Mo. who went to be with Jesus Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, MO.
She was born March 24, 1924 in Frohna, Mo. to George C. and Oneida (Mangels) Fiehler.
Dorothea and Leonard E. Militzer were married on November 16, 1947. He preceded her in death on November 11, 2012.
She was a home maker. Dorothea loved quilting, sewing, and reading scripture.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altenburg.
Survivors include four daughters, Emily Militzer, Annette (Kenneth) Glatz, Ellen Delmar, Margaret (Mark) Leitner; brother, George (Virgina) Fiehler Jr.; eight grandchildren, Jessica, Julia, Jillian, Ginger, Michael, Andrea, Sarah, Hannah; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, five brothers, Harlan Fiehler, Raymond Fiehler, Marvin Fiehler, Elvin Fiehler, Edgar Fiehler; sister, Helen Fiehler.
Visitation was 9:30-10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altenburg.
A funeral for 100-year-old Dorothea E. Militzer of Altenburg, Mo. was held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altenburg with Rev. Frank Lucas officiating.
Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Altenburg.
