JEFFERSON CITY — An 82-year-old Sparta, Ill. man received minor injuries in a traffic crash on Highway 51 in Perry County Sunday morning.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Norman A. Schirmer was taken to Mercy Hospital Perryville by a Perry County ambulance.
The patrol reports Schirmer was buckled up.
The patrol says Schirmer was the driver of a northbound 2024 Toyota Camry which traveled off the right side of the roadway, striking a concrete culvert and a mailbox.
The crash happened about 7:45 a.m. five miles south of I-55.
The Camry had extensive damage and was towed by Perry County Towing.
