A funeral will be held Wednesday, June 12, 2024 for 80-year-old Eddie L Govro of Sainte Genevieve, Mo who passed away Saturday, June 8, 2024 at his home in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.
He was born December 2, 1943 in St. Louis, Mo., a son of Edgar Govro and Sarah (Holliday) Govro, who both preceded him in death.
He is survived by a son: Mark (Bobbi) Govro of Irondale, Mo.; a daughter: Amy Govro of Festus, Mo.; a special friend: Joyce Roth of Sainte Genevieve, Mo.; grandchildren: Daniel Govro, Lauren Govro, William Aymar and Morgan Aymar; step grandchildren: Haley (Tom) Barteau, Jamie Baker, Cody (Jasmine) Valle and Wyatt Valle; 11 great grandchildren; and the mother of Amy: Jean Govro.
He was a member of VFW Post 2210, American Legion Post 150, and the Plattin Boat Club.
Eddie enjoyed tractor pulling, boating, model airplanes and taking casino trips with friends.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2024 and 8-10 a.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at the Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.
A funeral for 80-year-old Eddie L Govro will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at the Basler Funeral Home. The Clergy will be Joan Huck.
Burial will be at Crestlawn Cemetery in Sainte Genevieve, Mo. with full military honors performed by VFW Post 2210.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the World Bird Sanctuary.
