Irvin Joseph Weiler

Irvin “Irv” Weiler, of Zell, Mo. was born January 8, 1936 to the late Herman F. and Olga C. (Huck) Weiler and lived life on his own terms.

He left this world on June 2, 2024, and will be missed dearly.

He is survived by his wife Tammy (Vernon) Weiler of Sainte Genevieve, MO. They were married on June 26, 2014 and enjoyed their lives together – sitting on the front porch, riding his Harley and caring for their countless accumulated animals.

The legacy of his lifelong passions – living life to the fullest, making his famous home-made wine, tending to his massive garden, flying airplanes, helping others and riding motorcycles – continues to ripple through Ste. Genevieve and surrounding areas.

He’d enjoyed a trip to Waco Texas on one of his Harleys for 30+ years to hang out with his son “Merv,” and his many extended friends there.

He was married to Susan J. Beyatte for 52 years until she passed in 2012. They are survived by two sons: Dean (Jack Helfrich) Weiler, St. Louis; and Dale “Merv” Weiler, Waco, TX; a daughter: Donna (Rick) Roth, Zell; five grandchildren: Tommi Sue (Dan) Borgelt and Gage (Bekah) Sumner, Lauraleigh (Robbie) Martin, Derek (Tammy) Weiler and Abbigail Weiler. Great grandchildren include Haley and Hayden Sumner, Caleb Borgelt, Julianna Martin, and Katie Weiler.

He was also preceded in death by a son: David Weiler and a brother: Ernie Weiler.

A lifelong motorcycle lover, especially Harley-Davidson motorcycles, he restored many older and antique Harleys (and also several antique cars) through the years and participated in many poker runs with his extended group of friends who loved him dearly. He was a member of Freedom of Road Riders.

Memorials may be made to Freedom of Road Riders (@forr.net) or St. Vincent DePaul in his name.

Service will be at St. Joseph Church on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at 10:00 am. Family and close friends may gather for burial at St. Joseph Cemetery in Zell, MO which is located adjacent to the church.
