Harold B. Amberger, 92, of Perryville, Missouri passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024 at his residence.
He was born July 9, 1931 in Belgique, MO to Frank and Beatrice (Christisen) Amberger.
Harold and Margie J. Stevens were married June 22, 1957 at First Presbyterian Church in Kennett, MO.
Harold served in the United States Army. He worked as a grain and livestock farmer.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville, American Legion Post 133 in Perryville and the Bois Brule Levee District. Harold loved farming, hunting, trapping and fishing. He really enjoyed shop work.
Survivors include son, David (Mitsuyo) Amberger of Edwardsville, IL; two daughters, Rebecca “Becky” Stortz of Fredericktown, MO, Laurie (Wayne) Hynes of Chesapeake, VA; sister, Alice (Norbert) Kassel of Perryville, MO; brother, Robert “Bobby” Amberger of Perryville, MO; seven grandchildren, Ben Yamnitz, Amber Stortz, Heather Stortz, Keith (April) Amberger, Katie Amberger, Kevin Hynes, Susan Hynes; thirteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Steven “Tally” Amberger.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville with Rev. Matthew Marks officiating.
Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Perryville.
Graveside Military Honors will be provided by American Legion Post 133 and Delta Team.
Memorial contributions may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
