JEFFERSON CITY – A 63-year-old High Ridge woman suffered serious injuries in a traffic crash on I-55 in Ste. Genevieve County Thursday night.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Karen E. Hawkes was taken to Mercy Hospital Perry by a Perry County ambulance.
The patrol says the crash happened when the southbound 2008 Toyota Camry Hawkes was driving traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck the cable median barrier.
The crash happened about 9:01 p.m. at the 131.6 mile marker.
The patrol says Hawkes was buckled up.
The Toyota was a total loss and was removed by Perry County Towing.
