A funeral will be held Thursday, May 30, 2024 for 92-year-old Roger L. Paulus of Perryville, Mo. who passed away Monday, May 27, 2024 at Independence Care Center.
He was born May 22, 1932 in Perryville, Mo. a son of Leo B. and Mildred L. (Claussen) Paulus who both preceded him in death.
He and Margaret (Gregory) Paulus were married at St. Boniface Catholic Church on November 28, 1959.
Survivors include a son: Bernard Gregory Paulus; five brothers: Mick (Becky) Paulus, Russell (Kathleen) Paulus, Robert (Kathy) Paulus, Jim Paulus, Harold (Rudell) Paulus; and two sisters: Elta Cattoor, and Mary (Don) Dyer.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters: Eileen Paulus and Pauline Tucker; three brothers: Oliver Paulus, Bernard Paulus, and Kenneth Paulus.
He served in the United States Navy.
Roger was a graduate of St. Vincent High School. He received his Bachelors degree at University of Missouri Columbia. And then he received his Masters of Education at University of Mississippi in Oxford.
Roger was a teacher at Fox School District for many years.
He was a member of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Perryville.
Visitation will be 9-9:45 a.m. Thursday, May 30, 2024 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville.
A funeral mass for 92-year-old Roger L. Paulus of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 30, 2024 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville with Rev. Joe Geders C.M. officiating.
Burial will be at St. Boniface Cemetery in Perryville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul School System.
