CHESTER – Fred Frederking, a seasoned law enforcement officer with expertise in emergency medical services, firefighting, and crime scene investigation, has announced his candidacy as the Democratic Candidate for the role of Randolph County Coroner.
With a career extending nearly three decades at the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, including eight years as sheriff, Frederking brings a wealth of knowledge in law enforcement and a proven record of community service. Alongside his law enforcement expertise, Frederking has experience as a paramedic, firefighter II, and first responder, making him exceptionally qualified to undertake the responsibilities of the Randolph County Coroner’s Office.
“I am thrilled to announce my candidacy for County Coroner and apply my diverse skill set to this significant role,” stated Frederking. “My background in law enforcement, emergency medical services, and crime scene investigation will enable me to effectively serve the residents of Randolph County and ensure justice for the deceased.”
“I have always had an interest in serving as a Coroner, but the timing was never right during my 29 years in the Sheriff’s Office,” said Frederking. “After experimenting with retirement, I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s not the right time for me to step back just yet. Why should I let all my training and expertise go unused when I have the chance to return to work and contribute to my community.”
Frederking brings extensive experience and expertise to the role of County Coroner. His tenure in law enforcement has equipped him with a profound understanding of criminal investigations and the importance of careful attention to detail in resolving cases.
In addition to his law enforcement background, Frederking has served as a paramedic and firefighter II with specialized training in various emergency response scenarios.
“I am proud to offer almost three decades of hands-on experience in law enforcement and emergency response in my candidacy for County Coroner,” expressed Frederking. “My training as a paramedic and firefighter makes me well-suited for the position, as I am skilled in performing my job safely in diverse and challenging environments.”
Frederking’s career has allowed him to collaborate closely with the Coroner’s Office, gaining valuable insights into the complexities of death investigations. His hands-on experience has given him firsthand knowledge of the circumstances surrounding deaths and the ability to address critical questions during investigations.
“I have dedicated my entire career to serving and protecting my community, including working closely with the Coroner’s Office in various capacities,” shared Frederking. “I have always aimed to offer assistance and support during trying times, particularly during the passing of individuals.”
