SPRINGFIELD — The Illinois House of Representatives adopted a House Joint Resolution Saturday afternoon which designates the section of Route 51 that runs through St. Johns as the “LCpl. Drew M. Uhles Memorial Highway”.
Cpl. Uhles of Du Quoin died from injuries received due to enemy action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq on September 15th, 2004 and subsequently was awarded the Purple Heart.
Rep.. Friess voted in favor of the resolution.
