A funeral will be held Thursday, May 30, 2024 for 74-year-old Jane Woods of Chester, Ill., who passed away at 5:37 a.m. Sunday, May 26, 2024 at Three Springs Senior Living and Rehabilitation, Chester, Illinois.
She was born August 7, 1949 in Clinton, Mo., a daughter of Jesse and Mary Ruth (nee Gilbert) Crawford.
Jane married Michael Lewis Woods on February 14, 1969 in Harrisonville, Mo.; he survives in Chester.
She is also survived by four children: Michael E. Woods of Chester, Ill., Todd J. Woods of St. Louis, Mo., Angela (Phillip) Taylor of Columbia, Ill. and Amber (Tyson) Search of Columbia, Ill.; seven grandchildren: Justin (Kaitlynn) Woods, Eathan Thompson, Brady Woods, Reese Taylor, Josey Taylor, Reagan Search and Hudson Search and two great grandchildren: Miles Belton and Romann Woods.
She was also preceded in death by a grandson: Brandon Woods and a sister: Joyce Lipsis.
She had worked as a cashier for Walmart for over 20 years.
Jane was a member of Grace Church Ministries in Chester, Illinois.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2024 and 10-11 a.m. Thursday, May 30, 2024 at the Pechacek Funeral Home in Chester, Ill.
