A funeral will be held Monday, May 27, 2024 for 80-year-old Mary Ann Wilson of Sainte Genevieve, Mo. who passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at Parkwood Meadows in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.
She was born June 19, 1943 in Sainte Genevieve, Mo., a daughter of William Baechle and Elvina Baechle, who both preceded her in death.
She married Gerald “Jerry” Wilson September 16, 1966. He survives in Ste. Genevieve.
She is also survived by a son: Rodney (Marlene) Wilson of Saint Louis, Mo.; a daughter: Geri (Russ) of Carpenter of O Fallon, IL; Stepson, Jim (Sherry) Wilson; Brother, Robert “Bobby” Baechle of Bloomsdale, Mo.; three sisters: Reva (August) Grein of Sainte Genevieve, Mo., Norma (Jim) Martine, and Linda (Bruce Bova) Rector of Sainte Genevieve, Mo.; grandchildren: Chase Wilson, Taylor (Charlee) Underwood, Allison (Brady) Smith, William Wilson, Henry Wilson; and great-grandchildren: Aiden Smith and Emery Smith.
She was also preceded in death by: three brothers: Raymond “Pete” (Margie) Baechle, Clinton Baechle, and Alvin “Buddy” Baechle; and three sisters: Helen Jokerst, Leanna A. Naeger, and Doris Bauman.
Mary loved spending time with her grandchildren. She had a passion for quilting and loved to donate them to church fundraisers and gift them to family and friends. She enjoyed going to antique shops and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Baseball fan.
A funeral for 80-year-old Mary Ann Wilson will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 27, 2024 at the Church of Sainte Genevieve followed by a celebration of life at the Dew Drop Inn with food and drinks.
Memorials may be made to Sainte Genevieve County Nutrition Center. Mary volunteered at the nutrition center delivering meals as long as she could and playing cards.
