Farmington Women’s Connection will feature mayor, speaker

FARMINGTON – “What’s going on in the city” by Farmington’s Mayor Larry Forsythe will be a special feature of the Tuesday, June 11th Women’s Connection in Farmington.

Lori Boruff from Monmouth, Ill., will be the guest speaker for the June gathering. She will present her talk: “Living Life Together FOREVER” with humor and compassion through simple pleasures and memorable moments to discover fresh hope, new perspective and deeper meaning.

Lori has ties to Farmington’s Camp Hope founded by Will and Gailia White in honor of their son,  Christopher because Lori’s oldest son suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury in Iraq and has been blessed by the hunts and camaraderie with fellow soldiers and its healing. She has even spoken at some of their events.

 

The June Women’s Connection will be held in the Fellowship Hall of the Farmington Presbyterian Church at Columbia and Cayce streets from 9:15-11 a.m. with a $10 brunch.
