Seeking Future Saints: Assistant Executive Director Wanted

EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. – With a history of over 107 years of devoted service to community, St. Vincent de Paul Belleville, Illinois Council seeks someone to fill the new essential role of Assistant Executive Director.

 

“This isn’t just any job,” notes Executive Director Pat Hogrebe, “this is a spiritual calling in the Catholic Ministry for someone with a deep commitment to live faith through charitable work.”

 

Each day SVDP Belleville Council ministers to 28 of the southernmost counties in Illinois; 18 of which rank highest in poverty by the State of Illinois; among these locations sits East. St. Louis- a community experiencing high rates of homelessness, poverty, and mental health challenges and where the majority of the SVDP Belleville Council impact can be seen and felt.

 

SVDP’s Outreach Center in East St. Louis helps more than 300 people a day with food, clothing, and other basic necessities essential to survival, as well as providing a place for overnight emergency shelter.

 

The Assistant Executive Director will be an essential support for Executive Director and will directly supervise overall program operations and support volunteers and employees, resource allocation, site management, case management, fiscal management, and fundraising.
