SGHS student finishes in second place in the Mineral Area College Writing Competition

STE GENEVIEVE — Ste. Genevieve High School sophomore Luke Ferranto has placed second in the Mineral Area College English Department’s writing competition.

 

 

Each year, students in grades 9-12 are invited to submit personal narrative essays. Students in seven local high schools submitted work.

 

Luke wrote and submitted a literary piece he wrote in Dr. Jeremy O’Brien’s class.

 

Luke’s personal essay, “Central Message” earned second place in the sophomore division of the writing competition!

 

He won a journal and a gift card.
