JEFFERSON CITY — The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a 60-year-old Perryville man was cited for DWI following a traffic crash on Perry County Road 808 late Friday afternoon.
According to the MSHP, Duane C. Brewer suffered serious injuries in the crash and was taken to St. Louis University Hospital by an Air Evac helicopter.
The patrol says Brewer was the driver of a northbound 2000 GMC Sierra which ran off the road on a left-hand curve, struck a mailbox, then skidded across the roadway and struck a tree.
The crash happened about 5:47 p.m. south of Perry County Road 816.
Ther patrol says Brewer was unrestrained.
The Sierra was a total loss and was removed by Perry County Towing.
