JEFFERSON CITY – A 40-year-old Perryville man was one of two persons receiving minor injuries in a traffic crash on Route BB in St. Francois County Sunday afternoon.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Hori Yusak and a nine year old boy were taken to Parkland Health Center in Farmington by ambulance.
The patrol says the crash happened when a 2021 Toyota Highlander driven by 45-year-old Yoshiteru Banno failed to yield to a 2017 Jeep Wrangler driven by Debra S. Siegel of Irondale at the intersection of Route BB and Old Irondale Road. Yusak was a passenger in the Highlander and the nine year old was a passenger in the Wrangler.
The crash happened about 3:55 p.m.
The Wrangler received moderate damage and the Highlander was a total loss. Both were removed from the scene by Buckley’s Towing.
