Paityn Basler named May Rotary Student of the Month at SGHS

STE. GENEVIEVE – Paityn Basler has been named the Rotary Student of the Month for May from Ste. Genevieve High School.

 

 

Paityn is the daughter of Angie and Nick Basler.

Paityn’s scholastic honors include: being ranked in the top 15% of her class, being ranked number 18th out of 114 in her senior class, earning A Honor Roll, and earning the designation of Summa Cum Laude. Paityn was also recognized with the class award for Economics.

Paityn wrestled all four years of high school, and played volleyball and softball each for one year. She has been a two-time state qualifier in wrestling, the girls wrestling team captain, and earned Academic All-State.

In her free time, Paityn enjoys going on hikes with her three dogs and her boyfriend, spending time outside, working out, wrestling and spending lots of quality time with her family. Paityn plans to attend Mineral Area College and obtain her associate’s degree in Applied Science before transferring into their Radiology program to become an MRI technician.
