Baseball

 

STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve defeated Fredericktown 11-3 Friday in the MAAA Tournament.

 

The Dragons fell to West County 7-3 Saturday in the fifth place contest to fall to 11-9 on the season.

 

Ste. Genevieve plays at Fredericktown today at 4:30.

 

STE. GENEVIEVE – Valle defeated North County 11-1 in five innings Saturday for third place in the MAAA Conference Tournament.

 

The baseball team next plays at Cape Notre Dame Monday night at 6:45.

 

CHESTER – Chester was scheduled to play at Massac County Saturday. But there no results available.

 

Chester hosts Valmeyer today at 4:30.

 

PERRYVILLE – Perryville hosts Charleston today at 4:30 p.m.

 

PERRYVILLE – St. Vincent hosts Leopold today at 4:30.

 

Softball

 

CHESTER – Chester softball was scheduled to play in the Benton Tournament Saturday. No results are available.

 

Chester host Valmeyer today.

 

STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve topped Arcadia Valley 15-0 Saturday in the  Class 2 District 2 Tournament.

 

The Dragons play Park Hills 4 p.m. in the Class 2 District 2 Tournament semifinal round.

 

STE. GENEVIEVE – Valle defeated Greenville 10-0 in five innings Saturday.

 

The Lady Warriors will play Scott City tonight at 6:00 in the other Class 2 District 2 Tournament semifinal.

 

Soccer

 

PERRYVILLE – St. Vincent defeated De Soto 11-0 Saturday.

 

The Lady Indians host Murphysboro today at 5 p.m.

 

PERRYVILLE – Perryville hosts Saxony Lutheran Tuesday.

 

Golf

 

PEERRYVILLE – Perryville plays in the district tournament today.

 

PERRYVILLE – Ste. Genevieve wrapped up play in the district golf tournament over the weekend.

 

Aiden Roth shot a 91 and qualified for the state tournament.

 

PERRYVILLE – St. Vincent and Valle play in the Class 1 District 1 Tournament at the Bent Creek Golf Course at Jackson today.

 

Track and Field

 

STE. GENEVIEVE – Valle Catholic High School has reported its All-Conference Track & Field honors earned April 29th or 30th in the MAAA Conference Track meet

 

Madelyn Griffard, Ava Bauman, Brooklyn Weibrecht and Lydia Brown in the 4x800M, 1600M and 3200M.

PERRYVILLE – St. Vincent participated in the Class 2 District 1 Tournament Saturday.

 

Jacob Schremp broke his own school record in javelin and won the Class 2 title in the event. He also placed second in discus and will be moving on to sectionals in both events.

 

Claire Otte placed third in shot put and javelin and is moving on in both events.

 

Sophia Taylor placed second in triple jump while also breaking her own school record again in the event.

 

Paige Leible is moving on in the 100m dash where she placed fourth.

 

Reagan Meyer won the 1600, 400m dash, and 800m run, beating her own school records in the 1600 and 800. Reagan is the Class 2 district champion in all three of these events.

 

Payton Unterreiner placed fourth in the 400m dash and is moving on to sectionals. 

 

The girls 4×400 (Paige Leible, Payton Unterreiner, Jenna Unterreiner, and Reagan Meyer) beat their own school record with a time of 4:24.68 and placed 3rd moving them on.

 

Reese Zoellner is moving on in pole vault as she placed second in the event.

 

The girls team placed 3rd overall.

 

The boys 4×800 (Jackson Unterreiner, Braden Pech, Ethan Hotop, and Carter Hennemann) qualified for sectionals by placing 4th.

 

Clayton Gremaud qualified for sectionals in the 400m by placing 2nd.

 

James Unterreiner placed fourth in the 400m.

 

Carter Hennemann qualified in the 1600 and 800 placing third in the 1600 and fourth in the 800.

 

Jackson Unterreiner qualified for sectionals by placing fourth in the 1600.

 

The boys 4×400 (James Unterreiner, Jackson Unterreiner, Carter Hennemann, and Clayton Gremaud) broke the school record in the event with a time of 3:35.20 and placed second in the event.

 

The boys team finished sixth overall.

STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve  participated in the Class 3 District 1 tournament Saturday.

 

CHESTER – Chester travels to the Cahokia Conference meet Tuesday.

 

PERRYVILLE – Perryville travels to the Class 4 District 1 Tournament at Festus Saturday, May 11.
