SIKESTON – The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded contracts for the Southeast District during its regular meeting on May 1. Contracts included concrete and asphalt repairs, guardrail and guard cable repairs, turn lanes, erosion control, signing and pavement markings, bridge replacements, pavement improvements and sidewalk improvements.
One of the projects will add turn lanes at the intersection of Route 61 and Industrial River Road in Ste. Genevieve County for $1,131,595. The contract was awarded to H.R. Quadri Contractors, LLC.
Another project in Ste. Genevieve County involves pavement improvements on Route B from Route 32 to Route WW. The $1,771,368 contract was awarded to Lead Belt Materials Company, Inc.
Contracts also included the following:
- A $552,500 contract was awarded to Putz construction, LLC, for concrete pavement repairs on Interstate 55, Interstate 57, and Interstate 155 in the Southeast District.
- A $325,920 contract was awarded to Apex Paving Company, for asphalt pavement repairs on Interstate 55 from Matthews, Missouri to Sikeston, Missouri in New Madrid County.
- A $3,037,500 contract was awarded to Collins & Hermann, Inc., for guardrail and guard cable repair on various routes throughout the Southeast District.
- A $990,000 contract was awarded to James H. Drew Corporation for guardrail and guard cable repair on various routes throughout the Southeast District.
- A $1,090,000 contract was awarded to H.R. Quadri Contractors, LLC for erosion control at various locations throughout the Southeast District.
- A $959,047 contract was awarded to CSD Environmental Services, Inc., for signing and pavement markings near the interchanges along Route 60, Route 63, Route 67, Route 32, Interstate 55, Interstate 57, and Interstate 155 in the Southeast District.
- A $981,021 contract was awarded to Penzel Construction Company, Inc., for a bridge replacement on Route Y over Little Indian Creek in Cape Girardeau County.
- A $178,000 contract was awarded to Putz Construction, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) sidewalk improvements at various locations throughout the Southeast District.
- A $1,108,450 contract was awarded to Young’s General Contracting, Inc., for a bridge replacement over Little River Drainage Ditch No. 44 on Route 62 in New Madrid County.
