PERRYVILLE – The Perry County Sheriff’s Office says it has received numerous reports of people receiving telephone calls saying they have missed jury duty and there is a summons for them to pickup.
They will want you to obtain gift cards of some type instead of picking up the summons.
THIS IS A SCAM!!!
ANYONE ASKING TO OBTAIN GIFT CARDS AND TO PROVIDE THOSE GIFT CARD NUMBERS IS A SCAM.
PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THOSE NUMBERS OUT. CONTACT YOUR LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT.
Please do not respond to their threats. Hang up on them and call the Perry County Sheriff’s Office at 573-547-4576.
If you have missed jury duty a deputy sheriff will make contact with you in person in reference to the missed jury duty.
