Hill & Dale Garden Club donates books

STE. GENEVIEVE – The Hill & Dale Garden Club purchased a copy of “My Green is Gone” with the intention of donating the book to one school in Ste. Genevieve County.  However, once the members read it, they decided to purchase copies so all five of the grade schools in their county could utilize the book. Several members also decided to purchase copies for their grandchildren, great grandchildren and the local library.

Author Brenda Moore explores what our world would be like without the color green. A young boy loses his green crayon and decides the pictures in his coloring book don’t look horrible without this color.  Once he thinks about this, he realizes that green is essential to our planet’s health and to our health as well.
