Perryville sales tax receipts are up for the month, and the year to date

PERRYVILLE — Sales tax receipts in Perryville were up in March — both for the month and for the calendar year to date.

 

The Missouri Department of Revenue transferred the proceeds of the city’s four sales taxes to its Bank of Missouri account April 4th.

 

The one percent general sales tax brought in $176, 720.08 in March, an increase of $26,244.92 more than March 2023. So far this year, the city has collected $550,671.44, which is $27,885.21 more than the first three months of 2023.

 

The city’s sales taxes for the capital improvements and mass transportation were also up.

 

Perryville’s consolidated city use tax was also up, by $18,006.11 for the month and $18,304.21 for the year to date.
