CHICAGO – The Illinois Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) State Lodge applauds the Chicago Cubs baseball organization for once again scheduling the special First Responders Night at Wrigley Field on Thursday, May 16.
“The 2016 World Champion Cubs and the men and women in law enforcement, firefighting and emergency services are at the top of the order in Illinois,” said Illinois FOP State Lodge President Chris Southwood. “We appreciate what the Cubs are doing to recognize the people who go to bat for their communities every day of the year.”
The men and women in law enforcement, firefighting and emergency services and their friends and family will join the boys in Cub blue during the annual First Responders Night on Thursday, May 16 at Wrigley Field in Chicago. Ticket holders for the game between the Cubs and Pittsburgh Pirates will receive a Chicago Cubs first responder commemorative drink tumbler, and each ticket purchased for that night includes a donation to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.
