Three minutes to experience the wonder of the music of the spheres as planet earth, the moon and the sun aligned perfectly to create what could be called the greatest show in space.

And the River Region was in the right place at the right time for a front row seat. Judging by te traffic which was fairly continuous since early Monday morning and continued into the real night time, the local communities received a fair share of the eclipse traffic for the second time in seven years. Though crowds seemed to be greater this year than previously.

Dawn and Daniel Canaday from Lake St. Louis got married during the last total eclipse in 2017 in Washington, Missouri. They renewed their vows during yesterday’s eclipse at the Perryville airport– this time with two little ones added to their family.
The chances of being in the band of totality twice in seven years seems to be very low.
Hopefully you witnessed one if not both of these events.
