BLOOMSDALE —The Bloomsdale Volunteer Fire Department was called out Friday evening by a report of a structure fire on Dogwood Lane at 6 p.m.
According to a report from the Bloomsdale Fire Department, the blaze began in the garage and spread to the vehicles that were parked out side the garage. The fire was mainly contained to the garage with some fire into the kitchen and smoke damage in the rest of the home.
The Bloomsdale Fire Department was first on the scene.
Mutual aid was received from Zell, Kinsey, Ste. Gen and Jefferson R-7 Fire Departments.
The family was home at the time however were able to get out without any injuries.
