CHESTER – Chester law enforcement officers responded to a report of an active shooter Tuesday afternoon in the 600 block of State Street.
A suspect, identified as Christopher Bowles of Chester, was refusing to come out of the residence.
According to report the shots were fired in the early afternoon
Illinois State, Chester Police, and Randolph County Sheriff’s deputies were on the scene
