A funeral will be held Friday, March 29, 2024 for 63-year-old Jerry “Jay” Roth, of Sainte Genevieve, Mo., who passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at his home in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.
He was born October 22, 1960 in Perryville, Mo., a son of Jerry P. Roth, Sr. and Barbara (Meyer) Roth, who both preceded him in death.
He married Melinda “Mickey” (Roth) Roth on June 5, 1982. She survives in Ste. Genevieve.
He is also survived by a daughter: Jill (Bill) Schatz and grandson: Oliver Schatz of Saint Louis, Mo.; four sisters: Christina M. (Scott) Afeld of Hot Springs National Park, Ark., Inez Roth of Houston, Tex., Tracy (Robert) Hoog of Festus, Mo., and Mary Jo (Craig) Schmelzle of Sainte Genevieve, Mo. and a brother: Mark Roth of Fulton, Mo.
Jay served in the United States Air National Guard, coached gym hockey for many years, and he enjoyed playing disc golf.
Jay enjoyed woodworking, working at Huck and Roth Garage with his dad.
Jay also worked at Mississippi Lime for over 30 years.
Most of all Jay was a loving husband, father and G’Pa.
Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Friday, March 29, 2024 at the Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.

Burial will be at Valle Spring Cemetery in Sainte Genevieve, Mo. with full military honors.
