A funeral will be held Thursday, April 11, 2024 for 91-year-old Francis Charles Spraul of Sainte Genevieve, Mo., who passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
He was born March 11, 1933 in St Louis, Mo., a son of Frank Spraul and Elizabeth Spraul, who both preceded him in death.
He married Elizabeth “Betty” (Martin) Spraul June 7, 1957. She preceded him in death.
He is survived by three daughters: Cynthia (Paul) Mueller of Sainte Genevieve, Mo., Lisa (Gary) Geiler of Sainte Genevieve, Mo., and Mary (James) Herbst of Farmington, Mo.; a son: Jeffery (Jean) Spraul of Sainte Genevieve, Mo.; a sister-in-law: Delores Spraul; grandchildren: Beth (Bob) DeCamp, Stacy (Justin) Eilermann, Tyler (Kait) Spraul, Chelsea (Nick) Trautman, Dennis (Courtney) Herbst, and Ben (Haley) Herbst; and nine great-grandchildren: Lucas DeCamp, Harper and Savannah Eilermann, Henry Herbst, Gavin Gegg; Landon and Graham Trautman, Laken and Camden Spraul.
He was also preceded in death by a brother: John Spraul; a sister: Betty A. Spraul; and a granddaughter: Kelsey Gegg.
Francis was a member of Carpenter’s Union, American Legion Post 150, and Church of Sainte Genevieve.
He proudly served our country in the United States Navy during the Korean War.
Frank loved Cardinals baseball, putting in a garden with his daughter, Mary and enjoyed flowers.
He never met a stranger and “Grandpa Frank” will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
Visitation will be 8:30-9:45 a.m. Thursday, April 11, 2024 at the Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.

Burial will be at Valle Spring Cemetery in Sainte Genevieve, MO
